My name is Reilly Jensen and I earn my living as a fine artist. My work, mostly large oil paintings on canvas, is represented and shown at Friesen Gallery in downtown Seattle, Washington and Sun Valley, Idaho.

Since times are tough these days and because I love dogs, I’ve decided to start making dog portraits on commission, but with my own interpretive, contemporary, and playful style.

I start with watercolor and graphite drawings inspired by your dog’s photos that you’ve supplied for reference. I incorporate additional drawings of various canine toys and goodies that spring from my imagination to enhance the background. Then I scan and assemble all the different hand drawn elements including the personalized answers to the doggie questionnaire.

The final piece is printed on archival paper and framed. Voila! Your custom pet portrait, rendered from pictures of your pup’s individual mug shots and personality traits.
